Welcome to Vida Plena Church!
We are a vibrant evangelical church based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, dedicated to serving the Portuguese, Spanish, and Dutch-speaking communities. At Vida Plena, our mission is to bring the salvation, love, and glory of Jesus Christ into the lives of everyone we encounter.
Our name, "Vida Plena" (Full Life), reflects the abundant and transformative life we believe is found in Jesus Christ. We are a church that values unity, holiness, and spiritual growth, welcoming people from all backgrounds and walks of life to experience the joy and hope of living in Christ. Under the leadership of Pastors Sidinei de Paula Dias and Maria McFarland Dias, our church is committed to creating a loving and Christ-centered community. With a passion for serving God and sharing His Word, our leaders dedicate themselves to pastoring the congregation with wisdom, compassion, and a deep faith in God’s promises. Their vision inspires us to embrace our calling as a church: to glorify God and bring His light to the city of Amsterdam and beyond.
At Vida Plena, we believe in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, who works in and through us to manifest God’s glory on Earth. It is through the Holy Spirit that we witness healings, signs, and wonders, reminding us of God's active presence in our lives. His power brings restoration to broken hearts, healing to the sick, and freedom to those in bondage. We seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance and presence in everything we do, trusting Him to lead us into deeper faith and to reveal God’s greatness through miracles and transformation.
Through worship, prayer, teaching, and fellowship, we strive to create a space where individuals and families can grow in their faith, find support, and discover their God-given purpose. 1998
The founding pastors of the church, Jorge Luis and Rute Seni, come to Amsterdam with their daughter and settle in the premises of YWAM, to start courses and also where they first met missionary Nora.
2003
Pastors Jorge and Rute start to serve and lead portuguese speaking people in house groups in a city called Almere, close to Amsterdam.
2005
Vida Plena church is officially started in a place called Christengemeente Nieuw Leven, in Almere. There portuguese and spanish speaking groups started to gather.
August, 2019
Our beloved pastor Rute passed away and went to the arms of our Lord to rest after many decades of service and mission throughout many countries.
2020
Pastor Sidinei, who at the time worked and lived in Northern Ireland, started to come periodically to Amsterdam, helping Pr. Jorge serve the church, helping with many services and leading the groups of the church.
October, 2021
This was the moment when the Lord called Pastors Sidinei and Maria to serve full-time at Vida Plena, after having served periodically for a few years here, in addition to almost 30 years of mission and pastoring in Spain.
December, 2021
Our beloved pastor Jorge passed away after many years of service under the Lord, having serviced in many countries and blessed many lives.
